Cummins Onan marine generators are suitable for recreational and commercial boats and ships.
Powered by a Kubota four-stroke diesel engine, the generator is controlled by a proven control system that also monitors the operation of all essential functions. In the event of a problem, the system automatically shuts down the unit to prevent damage and also provides diagnostics for easy and quick troubleshooting.
All models are equipped with an electronic control system that monitors the operation of the unit, including automatic shutdown:
- high chilled water temperature
- high exhaust gas temperature
- low oil pressure
- poor cooling water flow
- over revving
- long start time
- low/high AC voltage
- low/high AC frequency
The monitoring system can also be supplemented with high carbon monoxide detection, emergency shutdown in case of fire and connection to external systems via SAE J-1939 CAN data link for monitoring the status of the power plant and diagnostics for the engine and generator.
There are a number of options for installation with dry or wet exhaust and silencing. Most models are available with 1 phase or 3 phase and with 12 or 24 volt versions depending on needs and preferences.
The electronic speed controller provides smooth and precise frequency - even with varying load on board. Together with advanced voltage regulation (AVR), you get a stable and clean power supply that protects sensitive equipment such as battery chargers and other electrical equipment on board.
